Help Shape Our Library's Future: Share Your Feedback in Our Community Survey

What can we help you find?

What is the Seed Library?

The Seed Library at AHPL is here to share seeds with anyone interested in growing food or flowers. Our goal is to inspire gardening, spread gardening knowledge, foster community connections, and promote better health through the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition to seeds, we and our partners provide valuable information and resources about gardening and seed saving.

Saving seeds from your garden and growing them the next year ensures healthy, hardy plants. We encourage you to save seeds from your plants and share them back with us at the end of the season to help make our Seed Library self-sustaining.

How does the Seed Library operate?

Our Seed Library is designed for self-service, though our staff is always happy to answer questions and locate resources. If you are interested in seeds from our collection, feel free to take what you need!

How to Get Seeds:

  1. Browse our collection and select the seeds you’d like to grow.
  2. Fill out the guest page for each seed variety you take. This helps us keep an accurate count of our seeds.

Do I need a library card?

No, an AHPL card is not necessary to use the Seed Library. Everyone is welcome to participate!
