Every October, the Monster Hunt takes over Auburn Hills — and this year, we’re inviting young artists to help us create something truly special. From now through November 15, students in grades K–8 can enter our Design Our Next Monster drawing contest. The winning creature will officially join the Monster Hunt family in 2027, complete with its own badge, clues, and hiding spot around town.
This is your chance to help shape Monster Hunt history.
Let Your Imagination Take Over
Grab your crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint — whatever helps your creativity shine. There’s no “right” way to make a monster.
Is your monster messy, dramatic, or shy? Do they have noodle hair, sparkly scales, three wiggly arms, or a mischievous grin? Maybe they love to smile, maybe they have horns, or maybe they leave behind a trail of glitter, slime, or tiny footprints.
You decide. Create a brand‑new friend to join our Monster Hunt crew — silly, spooky, sweet, or totally unexpected.
Pick up an entry form at the Youth Department or download one online. Submit your artwork and completed form to the Youth Department by November 15, or email them to marketing@ahplibrary.org.
