We’re thrilled to unveil the Auburn Hills Public Library’s Strategic Plan for 2026–2028, crafted through a thoughtful and inclusive process in early 2025. Guided by the three-phase “Learn, Dream, Do” framework facilitated by Fast Forward Libraries LLC, this plan reflects our commitment to listening, innovation, and action.
What We Heard
The process began with careful listening: a robust learning phase that combined community surveys, focus groups, interviews, and feedback from both staff and our Board of Trustees.
What We Envision
In the “Dream” phase, we brought together staff and Board members at dedicated retreat sessions to reflect on the insights gathered—identifying opportunities, aspirations, and strengths to shape our shared future.
What We Will Do
Now, in the “Do” phase, the plan outlines core commitments that will guide our work through 2028:
- Connect with new and current partners and raise awareness of the library’s responsive, community-centered services.
- Create welcoming, inspiring library spaces designed to engage and uplift everyone who visits.
- Empower our staff and Board by fostering growth and professional development, enhancing the patron experience across all interactions.
This strategic roadmap reflects who we are and who we aspire to be—your library dedicated to growth, connection, and service. We look forward to bringing this vision to life with your continued engagement.
