
500 Books Before Middle School is a self‑paced reading challenge designed to help young readers build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of books. Kids in grades K–5 aim to read 500 books that are new to them before entering middle school.
Any book counts as long as it matches your child’s current reading level — picture books, early readers, nonfiction, graphic novels, and more.
Reviews don’t need to be fancy — just a quick sentence about what your child thought of the book.
Readers earn special prizes at 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 books.
